English Teacher (Long-Term Contract) RochdaleAspire People are in partnership with a Multi Academy Trust in Rochdale who are seeking an experienced and resilient English Teacher. This long-term position will begin after October half-term and offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse environment. We are looking for a strong candidate with excellent behaviour management skills, as some days can be challenging. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching English and committed to helping students achieve their full potential.Key Responsibilities:* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, following the national curriculum.* Use creative and differentiated teaching strategies to ensure all students, regardless of ability, can access and enjoy English.* Effectively manage classroom behaviour, creating a positive, respectful, and productive learning environment.* Monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support academic development.* Work closely with colleagues in the English department and across the trust to contribute to the shared vision for student success.* Inspire a love for reading and writing, encouraging students to develop their literacy skills and critical thinking.* Provide pastoral support when necessary, understanding the diverse needs of students and working with them to overcome barriers to learning.Requirements:* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English or a related subject.* Proven experience in teaching English at secondary level, ideally across both KS3 and KS4.* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain a calm and productive classroom environment.* A resilient and adaptable attitude to meet the demands of a busy and diverse school environment.* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a passion for engaging and motivating students.* A commitment to inclusivity and student well-being, ensuring all learners are supported and encouraged to succeed.All candidates who register with Aspire People will have 2 years referencing taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed and must be on the update service.We also offer a referral bonus of up to £250 for recommendations of candidates suitable for any of the roles we are recruiting for.This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and resilient English teacher looking to make a real impact in a supportive school environment.
