Project Engineer

The Role

You will be responsible for the overall 360-degree project completion of design, project management and installation of automatic sprinkler systems. Your main responsibilities will include…

· Production of / assistance in the design of drawings for automatic sprinkler installations, and associated procurement.

· Project Management of smaller projects (up to 50k).

· Undertaking inspections of on-site works and ensuring completion of works as per the design standards produced.

· Assisting and advising engineers where required with general site issues.

· Attend contract handover meetings with the Sales team members.

· Identify/update & communicate design issues - i.e. drawing standards, non-conforming issues, etc.

· Check design quantities against tender quantities and raise any anomalies with Commercial and Estimating.

· Produce Programme of Works and monitor against progress.

· Ensure all drawings are issued appropriately to all parties and that approval has been received, as necessary. All final Construction Issue drawings are provided to fabricators, installers, etc.

You will have the following skills, experiences and attributes…

· Experience within a Project Engineer role is essential

· Experience of working within the Fire Sprinkler industry is essential

· Attention to detail and ability to apply analytical thinking in problem-solving.

· Experience working within a customer-facing role and the ability to build strong customer relationships.

· Able to work under pressure and to a high standard.

· Excellent communication/customer-facing skills.

· Disciplined and organised.

· Able to work on own initiative, unsupervised, but also contribute to an effective team.
