Our client, a social housing provider in Rochdale is recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to work with those facing homelessness.

Responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker include:

  • Managing a caseload of homeless clients
  • Liaising with Local Authorities housing teams surrounding new applications
  • Supporting in the maintenance of the client waiting list
  • Assessing new clients support needs
  • Ensuring clients understand, and abide by their tenancy agreements
  • Enabling clients to access employment, education and training opportunities
  • Safeguarding clients and reporting any concerns
  • Monitoring tenants rent accounts and supporting them to maximise their income
  • Promoting clients to live independently and build lasting life skills

Essential criteria of the Housing Support Worker include:

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Experience within a similar supported living environment
