Morgan Hunt is working with a leading charity delivering quality support services to women, men and their families who are affected by domestic abuse, homelessness, and young parents across the of Northwest England. Improving the safety and life opportunities of the people who use their services and supporting them in their recovery. They support the people they work with to overcome the experiences they have had, empowering them to build up the skills and resources they need to take control of their own lives, access a tenancy of their own and maintain a quality of life in the long term.
The role
As a Make Every Adult Matter Worker, you will support the delivery of the service in Rochdale for women who are experiencing multiple disadvantages providing a high quality and individual service. You will assess and identify and support clients and put in pace appropriate asset based, trauma informed support.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Working in partnership and collaboration with other Make Every Adult Matter partners.
- Supporting women experiencing multiple disadvantages across the borough of Rochdale.
- Providing asset-based interventions to relieve disadvantage.
- Appropriately challenge the system when it isn't working for people.
- Building strong, supportive relationships with the cohort of beneficiaries.
- Building strong professional relationships with our partners and stakeholders.
- Professionally challenging and holding partners to account where relevant.
- Capturing and reporting interventions provided on the data system.
- Reporting on and capturing the impact of the support provided.
- Participating in awareness raising and other campaigns which promotes the work that our client does.
- Delivering and developing in house training around the project.
The candidate
- Experience of supporting people with multiple disadvantages to overcome barriers.
- Experience of working with partners and in collaboration in order to maximise the potential for a positive outcome.
- Experience of delivering empowering support that promotes system change.
- Experience of participating at multi-disciplinary team meetings.
- Strong communication skills, including an ability to challenge where appropriate.
- Ability to effectively risk assess and deliver safe and effective support to people with multiple disadvantages.
- Good IT skills and experience of working with data systems.
- Knowledge and ability to assess and respond to safeguarding concerns.
- Knowledge of the housing services and move on support for clients (desirable).
- Knowledge and understanding of substance misuse and mental health (desirable).
