Aspire people are looking for SEND teaching assistants in Rochdale and surrounding areas.

We are looking for a dedicated professional to support 2 pupils in KS1 who have Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour. The role will be ongoing through the whole academic year as the pupils will need constant support and supervision. There is an opportunity for a school contract.

Position: Full time SEND TA, working hours 8:30 - 3:30, Monday to Friday. Previous experience supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour required.
Location: Primary and SEND schools in Rochdale and surrounding areas
Rate: 90.00 - 100.00

Experience: Must have UK based experience working with children, ideally in an education setting
Experience working with challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.

Availability: Full time Monday to Friday. 8:30am - 3:30pm

What does the role involve:

No two children are the same, so being a SEND TA requires flexibility and strong communication skills. This role is supporting children that may have complex and challenging behaviours.
The role requires attention to detail, patience and a non-judgemental approach, and it is important to be resilient and passionate about supporting each child's needs.

The role:
* Supporting teachers in the classroom
* Working 1:1 with children & 1:2
* Working with small groups
* Managing classroom resources
* Managing heightened behaviours and keeping children safe
* Creating a positive and safe environment for all learners
