Description
- Execute our technical roadmap developments, advanced experiments and experiences using HTML5, SCSS, Tailwind, JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, TypeScript and RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with our existing development team to support large scale developments, continuous improvements, and day-to-day updates.
- Build reusable components and libraries for future use, following best practices and coding standards.
- Work exceptionally close with our UX team to deliver technical requirements for our web projects, experimentation and personalisation roadmap.
- Work with design systems like Figma to ensure consistent and user-friendly UI/UX.
- Develop key landing and campaign pages.
- Innovate and maintain our headless responsive modules.
- Use our New CMS to develop, build and improve content modules.
- Work with our Technical Analyst to develop and support with tracking optimisations.
- Coordinate with our digital platform and hosting suppliers to assist with technical tickets.
- Provide technical support across all teams with Web & App requests.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Ecommerce UX & Delivery team, across one of the most exciting retail businesses in the UK. Reporting into the Head of UX and Digital Delivery you will be responsible for delivering our exciting digital roadmap projects and provide technical support for Web and App requests. You’ll be collaborating with a well-established UX and Front-End Development delivery team with experience in delivering in a fast-paced agile environment, consisting of UX researchers, designers, developers, data analysts, UX executives and project managers.
The Team
You’ll be collaboratively working with a well-established UX and Front-End delivery team with experience in delivering in a fast-agile environment, consisting of UX researchers, designers, developers, data analysts, junior UX executives and project managers.
About You
Ideally you will have professional experience in a similar role using the tech stack containing: HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript, Git. We want you to be able to combine your technical know-how with a sound understand of Ecommerce and responsive web technologies.
You will bring a strong sense of code quality and continuously support coding standards in the team and recommend ideas through sound communication.
Have the ability to react quickly to data based trade information to maximise it uses and work both collaboratively and independently in a team environment.
- 3+ years of professional experience in large-scale front-end software development in an agile environment.
- Proficient in React.js & TypeScript, with a solid understanding of core concepts, writing modular, maintainable, re-usable and well-typed code.
- Familiarity with Node.js, especially for server-side rendering and backend communication.
- Experience in integrating RESTful APIs into Frontend projects & applications.
- Experience with A/B testing, experimentation, and personalisation software such as Monetate
- Proven experience with version control workflows & CI/CD platforms (Buddy.works or similar).
