Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with individual students who have special educational needs, providing tailored support and ensuring they thrive academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 support to students with SEN in a primary school setting

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)

  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and specialists to provide comprehensive support

  • Creating and adapting learning resources to meet the needs of SEN students

  • Encouraging positive social interactions and building self-confidence in students

  • Monitoring and recording student progress, sharing updates with teachers and parents

  • Supporting students with personal care and mobility needs, if necessary

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students, preferably in a primary school setting

  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs

  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
