Full-Time Position
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism and ADHD in a primary school setting in Rochdale (OL16).
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs (SEN) in Year 3.
* Supporting the pupil with autism and ADHD, ensuring they can engage effectively in their learning.
* Assisting the pupil with classroom activities, adapting lessons to meet their individual needs.
* Helping to manage the pupil's behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.
* Supporting social and emotional development, promoting positive interactions with peers.
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies and individual education plans (IEPs).
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children with special needs, particularly autism and ADHD, is essential.
* Understanding of effective strategies for supporting pupils with SEN.
* Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to meeting the pupil's needs.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced classroom environment.
* A positive attitude and commitment to the pupil's development.
Qualifications:
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
* Experience working with pupils with autism and ADHD is preferred.
* An up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
Hours & Pay:
* Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
* Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
