iO are proud to partner with a well-established FMCG Manufacturer in the search for talented Multi Skilled Engineers to join the team at their UK flagship, state-of-the-art site in Manchester.

As our Multi Skilled Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining, servicing, and repairing the factory equipment to ensure peak production efficiency, driving towards key performance targets.

Main responsibilities:

  • Attend breakdowns to minimise machinery downtime.
  • Opportunity to stay updated on technological advancements and implement best practices in the factory.
  • Diagnose defects, execute repairs and conduct thorough testing before handover.
  • Liaise with contractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Opportunity to contribute to departmental and site improvement projects.
  • Review processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste and maintain quality.
  • Monitor and conduct dynamic performance tests of new/current machinery on a regular basis.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Formal Engineering Qualification or Apprentice trained.
  • Familiarity with system drawings and machinery manuals (Electrical/Mechanical/Hydraulic/Pneumatic).
  • 2+ years in a manufacturing environment (FMCG/Food manufacturing experience is desirable).
  • Knowledge of PLCs and programming skills.
  • Experience with PPM systems and knowledge of PUWER regulations.
  • Familiarity with 18th Edition Electrical Regulations (desirable)
  • Right to work in the UK
