Tendering Engineer

Location: Rochester (Kent)

Salary: 39,000 - 44,000

Our major rail client is looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer due to Business growth.

This position will be to provide support to the Sales and operations team, and will be the nexus point between the two, ensuring cost and delivery of works packages can be met.

Ideally the right candidate will com from a HV electrical or National grid background and will be taking on the responsibility for cost modules and tenders.

Experience

  • Pervious experience within Electrical or systems engineering (HV), or knowledge in
    • Power / Energy
    • Information security
    • Cyber security
  • Technical sales experience and customer engagement
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Cost and Budget administration
  • Good organisation skills

Key Accountabilities and objectives

  • Drive timely and thorough assessments of all tenders and enquiries, ensuring responses meet customer specifications while aligning with Siemens policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Project Delivery, Design, Legal, Procurement) to guarantee that every tender and proposal is both technically robust and commercially viable, ensuring smooth delivery within set timelines.
  • Continuously refine and manage a portfolio of standard solutions and costings, keeping them up-to-date with regular reviews for maximum efficiency and impact.
