I am seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Manager on behalf of my client who are specialists within the packaging industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the growth of sales, as well as managing and expanding existing accounts. This role is suited for individuals with a strong sales background who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Day to day of the role as a business development manager:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to drive sales growth.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing accounts to ensure continued business and account expansion.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through calling, networking, and social media.
  • Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns.
  • Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.

Required Skills & Qualifications for the business development manager:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar role in sales.
  • Experience in working within a fast-paced sales environment, preferably in the packaging or related industry.
  • Strong track record of sales success, including meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and foster meaningful relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Proficiency in English and strong interpersonal skills.
