Rail Plant Engineer - Rochester Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plant Engineer, Rail Plant Engineer, or Heavy Plant Fitter
- Experience working on Rail-Road Vehicles (RRVs) is highly desirable but not essential
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Familiarity with LOLER, PUWER, and other relevant safety regulations (advantageous but not essential)
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently and accurately
- Strong commitment to health & safety and working to high standards
- Full UK driving licence required (PTS certification is a plus, but not essential)
- Willingness to learn and undergo further training for rail-specific equipment
Rail Plant Engineer - Rochester Salary & Benefits
- 18.50-19.50 an hour dependant on experience
- 40 hour working week (7:30-16:30. 1-hour unpaid lunch break)
- Overtime available at weekends and evenings paid at 23.00-24.00 an hour
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays
