CNC Setter / Operator

Rochester, Kent

IRO 40,000 pa

This role, joining a leading robotics and automation systems builder. An experienced machinist is required that is highly competent using CAD/CAM software. Familiarity with Haas CNC machines is highly desirable.


The role of CNC Setter / Operator includes:
* Programming, setting and running Haas CNC milling machines.
* Working from detailed drawings and models to produce high quality parts.
* Machining various metals and composite materials.
* Modifying and adjusting components for development automation systems.
* Helping to produce high quality, effective automation systems as part of the team.


To be considered for the role of CNC Setter / Operator, the ideal candidate:
* Would have long-standing experience running and operating CNC milling machines.
* Have experience with turning.
* Would have the ability to work comfortably under pressure.
* Be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
* Will be a logical thinker with a practical mindset.
* Be inventive and able offer constructive input during system developments.
* Be competent and polite when dealing with customers.
* Will need to be a team player and be able to demonstrate good communication skills.

The position is permanent and full time based at the factory in Strood, Kent. Over-time will be frequently available as required. The successful candidates should have existing experience running CNC machines and be able to run machines independently. The versatility to communicate and problem solve with colleagues is also a major part of the role, as you will be part of team to develop new and pioneering machinery. 40 hr week plus paid overtime and annual bonus scheme


Salary negotiable dependent upon experience
