Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Role Overview: Join our team as a CNC Machine Operator, responsible for setting and operating Mori Seiki, Tornado CNC machines, and Citizen L32 machines to meet job specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and machining centers using Fanuc and Mitsubishi systems.
  • Perform machine changeovers and manage production runs to meet targets and tolerances.
  • Modify and create new programs based on drawings and component needs.
  • Ensure components meet dimensions and features as per production drawings.
  • Use measurement tools (Vernier, micrometers, height gauges) and record quality and production data.
  • Maintain cleanliness and adhere to 5S principles.
  • Follow health, safety, and quality guidelines.
  • Conduct daily machine checks, routine maintenance, and report issues.
  • Support and train others in machine operation as needed.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Relevant apprenticeship and 3 years of CNC operating/setting experience.
  • Knowledge of 5S, manufacturing drawings, and CNC programming (Desirable).
  • Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi systems, Mori Seiki, and Tornado machines (Desirable).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
