Automotive Trainer
Private Adult Training
32,000 to 36,500
Kent

On behalf of a private training provider in Kent, Boston Rose are looking for a skilled automotive mechanic or experienced automotive trainer to join their small team.

The role includes delivering practical and theory sessions to small groups of year 3 City & Guilds automotive apprentices on a full-time permanent basis. The class sizes are 5-6 learners per session and the average age of learner is 19 years old. All learners are full-time employed mechanics in local garages and they want to learn & upskill, there are no behaviour issues or learning difficulties within these cohorts.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to leave the industry and pass on their skills, the work is less physical so would suit someone looking for a role that's easier on the knees! Or, this would equally suit someone looking to leave large further education colleges and get into private industry training where they can make a difference with learners who want to attend lessons.

The salary band on offer is 32,000 to 36,500. To achieve the higher salary you must already have teaching experience and a teaching qualification, however, if you do not already have this, our client can help you achieve the higher salary within 6 months of starting.

To apply, you must meet the following essential criteria:
- Level 2 or above in Light or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
- Practical workshop experience with cars and/or HGVs
- Willingness to learn and develop as a trainer
- Willingness to undergo further qualifications e.g. Level 3 mechanics / teaching & assessing qualifications.

If this position interests you, please apply or call Boston Rose and ask for Leah Hendy to discuss the position further.
