Training Manager - Renewables

UK headquarters are complemented by subsidiaries in Europe, South Africa and the USA.
Within this role you will have a crucial role in delivering accredited training courses at our purpose-built state-of-the-art Training Academy, which has just been built. This position requires a strong passion for teaching, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of the renewable energy industry.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging in-person training sessions, adopting multiple teaching approaches to suit different learning requirements, as needed.
- Deliver virtual training sessions to maximise reach of learning.
- Whilst adhering to regulated teaching curriculums, ensure training sessions are interactive, informative, and promote knowledge retention.
- Collaborate with product suppliers and subject matter experts to identify training needs and objectives.
- Design and implement training materials, including presentations, manuals, and e-learning resources.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms.
- Implement metrics to measure the impact of new and existing training initiatives
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of the company Learning Management System.
- Ensure training materials and resources are up-to-date and easily accessible for employees.
- Provide guidance and support to trainers or subject matter experts involved in delivering department-specific training.
Education/Skills required
- Proven experience as a Training Manager in the electrical sector, preferably on solar PV, EESS, EV and/or heat pumps.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
Minimum qualifications required
Qualified electrician:
- City and Guilds 2365 level 3
- City and Guilds 2357 level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology
- OR: City and Guilds 5357 Level 3 Electrotechnical apprenticeship qualification
- City and Guilds 2382 (BS7671 18th edition Wiring Regs)
- City and Guilds 2391 (Electrical Inspection and Testing) Qualified trainer:
- TAQA Level 3 (Training, Assessor and Quality Assurance) / CAVA Level 3 (Certificate in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievements)
The following qualifications would be an advantage:
- TAQA Level 4 IQA / C&G 6317
- LCL registered
- AM2 certificate
- ECS Gold Card
- First Aid
- Health & Safety in the workplace Certified in renewable technologies:
- Level 3 PV: Award In the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems
- Level 3 EESS: Award in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of Electrical Energy Storage Systems
- Level 3 EV chargers: Award in the Installation and Commissioning of Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment in Domestic, Commercial and Industrial Locations
- Level 3 Heat Pumps: Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems (NonRefrigerant Circuits)
Location - Rochester
Salary - £55,000 + £5,000 car allowance
Hours - Business core working hours Mon - Fri
