Our client, a prominent player in the aerospace industry, is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. The role mainly involves the creation and review of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) to AS9102 Rev C standards and handling various quality assurance responsibilities within the aerospace sector.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary focal point for First Article Inspections
  • Create and review FAIRs to AS9102 Rev C standards
  • Resolve quality issues through structured problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques
  • Collaborate with key project stakeholders on quality investigations
  • Review complex mechanical drawings
  • Produce accurate and clear written reports and presentations
  • Support non-conformance management activities
  • Support quality investigations


Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in creating and reviewing FAIRs to AS9102 standards
  • Strong ability to interpret specifications, procedures, and contract requirements
  • Experience in Quality Assurance Planning
  • Awareness of EN9100 (AS9100) and APQP/PPAP to AS9145 is advantageous
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to review and analyse complex mechanical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills
