We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join various Primary mainstream and SEND schools across Medway. These roles offer both short-term and long-term opportunities, ideal for candidates who have experience in classroom settings and one-to-one support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering educational activities and lessons.
  • Work one-on-one with students with SEND, ensuring they receive tailored support and assistance.
  • Assist in creating a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Help prepare classroom materials and set up equipment necessary for daily activities.
  • Monitor and support the progress of students, both academically and socially.
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents when necessary.
  • Adhere to school policies and guidelines, including health and safety measures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
  • Experience working one-on-one with SEND students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to student learning and well-being.
  • Must possess a DBS certificate or be willing to undergo a DBS check.
