We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Construction Tutor to join our educational team for a ASAP Start. The Tutorwill workto support the delivery of high-quality education to students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to helping students succeed academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Create and update lesson plans, training materials, and assessments based on industry standards and qualifications.
  • Instruction & Delivery: Deliver engaging, hands-on training sessions to learners, covering construction techniques, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
  • Assessment & Evaluation: Regularly assess learner progress through exams, practical tests, and assignments, providing constructive feedback.
  • Mentoring & Support: Offer guidance and support to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their learning goals.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all training activities are conducted in line with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe learning environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with current construction trends, technologies, and regulations, integrating these into teaching.
  • Skills Development: Teach core construction skills such as carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain an organized and conducive learning environment, ensuring learners are engaged and focused.
  • Career Guidance: Advise students on career paths, apprenticeships, and opportunities in the construction industry.
  • Collaboration: Work with other tutors, coordinators, and industry professionals to enhance the training program.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.

This role would require a combination of practical knowledge, teaching ability, and excellent communication skills to successfully prepare students for careers in the construction industry.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or related field preferred.

- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.

- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.

- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and teachers.

- Basic computer skills and proficiency with educational technology preferred.
