A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Hygiene Team Leader to be part of a team within the manufacturing industry. You will be managing the team and the hygiene services on a day-to-day basis, responsible for documenting all regimes and implementations.

You will be reporting to the Hygiene Manager.

Duties include:

  • Control Hygiene team members at all times to make sure they wear PPE.
  • To identify any issues when they arise and report to your Hygiene Manager.
  • Report any Food Safety and Health & Safety concerns and ensure the correct forms are complete.
  • To achieve a 'right first time' clean, following set work instructions and safety
  • Carry out daily/weekly/monthly/ad hoc cleaning tasks.
  • Take part in daily GMP audits.
  • Timely and accurate completion of related documents and records.
  • To ensure hygiene operatives cleaning machines are following the correct guidelines.
  • To manage and develop hygiene staff on the shift to ensure they are proactive and carry out their job roles in a safe and effective manner.
  • Carry out start-up/inspection checks of cleaning equipment and report any damages.
  • Carry out chemical titration check.
  • To organise and control stock issues and generate stock replenishment orders

Essential experience

  • Previous hygiene experience within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Supervising a team.
  • Level 2 Food Safety.
  • Basic knowledge of COSHH.
  • Basic BRC understanding.
  • Previous knowledge of hygiene practices
  • Numerate & literate and able to follow instructions.

Working Monday to Friday 6am - 4pm
