Job Opportunity: Hygiene Team Leader
Location: Rochester, Medway City Estate
Salary: (Dependant on Experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6am until 4pm

Duties:

  • Oversee hygiene team members, ensuring full compliance with PPE requirements
  • Identify and report any emerging issues to the Hygiene Manager promptly
  • Address and document Food Safety and Health & Safety concerns, completing all relevant forms accurately
  • Strive for Right first time cleaning standards by following established work instructions and safety protocols
  • Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc cleaning tasks as required
  • Participate in daily GMP (Good Manufacturing Practise) audits
  • Ensure hygiene operatives adhere to proper procedures when cleaning equipment
  • Lead, mentor, and develop shift hygiene staff, fostering a proactive, safe, and effective work environment
  • Conduct start-up and inspection checks of cleaning equipment, reporting any damages immediately
  • Perform regular chemical checks
  • Organise stock control and issue stock replenishment orders as needed

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven supervisory experience within a production background
  • Familiarity with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) guidelines
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with an ability to follow instructions effectively
  • Basic food safety knowledge
