Shift Pattern: 5 on, 2 off with an average of 45 hours per week.

Hours: 07:15-17:15 (flexibility required).

Pay Rates: £12.00/hour for the first 40 hours, 15.00/hour overtime


Premier Recruitment Group is proud to partner with a leading production company, seeking a dedicated Pallet Truck Operative to support their operations. This role is key to ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within their production areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate powered pallet trucks to move goods within the production area.
  • Load and unload pallets from vehicles and storage locations.
  • Work in a cold store environment (0-5C).
  • Use handheld scanners to record data accurately in the internal system.
  • Handle repetitive manual tasks, including lifting items up to 18kg.
  • Maintain cleanliness in dispatch areas following a clean-as-you-go procedure.
  • Report damaged goods, non-conformances, or accidents to the management team.

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A valid and up-to-date PPT truck licence (preferred but not essential).
  • Previous warehouse or stores experience (an advantage).
  • A strong commitment to health and safety and food hygiene standards.
  • The ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Physical fitness for a role involving manual handling.
  • Willingness to learn and use handheld scanners.
