Our client, a prominent figure in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking an Occupational Health Technician to join their team in Rochester on a contract basis.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing health surveillance such as spirometry, skin assessments, and audiometry
  • Conducting vision screenings
  • Measuring blood pressure, height, weight, and calculating BMI
  • Maintaining clear and accurate documentation of assessments
  • Supporting Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessments and workstation evaluations
  • Contributing to health promotion initiatives and updating the OH web page
  • Covering the front of house function during holidays
  • Supporting Occupational Health Advisers in routine health surveillance under supervision


Job Requirements:

  • Understanding of confidentiality in occupational health
  • Awareness of Health and Safety law
  • Experience in occupational health
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • IT literate with proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets
  • Good time management abilities
  • Awareness of the limits of own competence and the ability to refer to Occupational Health Advisers when necessary


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with the OPAS G2 database
  • Level 3 Certificate for Occupational Health Technicians or an equivalent qualification
  • Familiarity with occupational health and wellbeing issues
  • Ability to carry out DSE assessments


This role is a full-time contract position, requiring 8 hours of work from Monday to Thursday and 5 hours on Friday, located fully onsite in Rochester. If you have experience in occupational health and meet the job requirements, we encourage you to apply now.
