OVERVIEW: ENGINEERING TRAINING INSTRUCTOR
We are currently seeking an Engineering professional with a genuine desire for people development.
Based at a training centre in Rochester, you will be trained to teach, coach and mentor young learners undertaking L3 and L4 Engineering qualifications. You will be a time served Engineering professional (electrical or mechanical) with a L4 or above qualification.
The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and have a strong background in the Engineering sector. All qualifications and training are supplied by the employer.
THE ROLE OF THE ENGINEERING TRAINING INSTRUCTOR
To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of Engineering qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility (classroom-based delivery). Train learners towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.
We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player and have a 'hands on approach' to work within this rewarding environment.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: ENGINEERING TRAINING INSTRUCTOR
- Minimum 5 years' relevant occupational experience as a time served engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Experience of working with young people
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: ENGINEERING TRAINING INSTRUCTOR
- A level 4 (or above) Engineering qualification (mechanical or electrical)
- Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable)
- Teaching qualification (desirable)
- This position is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance
