Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: Rochester

Salary: 50,000 - 60,000 (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding complex customer needs and collaborating to develop, validate, and manage requirements at multiple levels
- Developing complex system architectures and sub-systems using a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach
- Integrating, analysing, and testing real-time systems that incorporate multiple technical disciplines such as electronics, mechanics, optics, and software
- Taking accountability for collaborative technical work package execution and associated outcomes
- Providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to other engineers
- Ensuring customer requirements are met through rigorous verification processes
- Driving new and improved systems development through implementation, applying best practice systems lifecycle processes, including techniques such as Learn First and Agile
Required Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience developing systems in relevant product markets and/or domains, such as control systems, real-time displays, or other safety-critical systems, incorporating multiple technical disciplines (e.g., electronics, mechanics, optics, software)
- Experience in requirements management, design analysis, modelling, and simulation, using tools such as DOORS, Siemens Polarion, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB, and/or Simulink, with familiarity in methodologies like SysML
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant scientific or engineering subject (e.g., Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics)
Desirable:
- Experience in integration, testing, and verification of real-time and/or safety-critical systems, with an understanding of safety assessment processes and their impact on design
- Customer and/or supplier liaison experience in technical aspects, ensuring customer requirements are satisfied
- Awareness of information assurance, cyber security, and environmental impact considerations related to real-time embedded engineering products

About the Team:
The Systems Engineering team is involved in the development and supply of products across a diverse range of commercial and military platforms, including display systems, pilot control systems, and flight control systems. Team members are encouraged to gain a broad knowledge base across multiple domains, with opportunities to specialise in specific product areas or systems engineering disciplines.
