An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strategic individual to join our team in the role of IT Manager. The purpose of this role will to manage IT systems and infrastructure of the company, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all systems run smoothly, developing strategies for system security and reliability, and staying up to date on the latest technologies. The post holder will also be responsible for the management, development and leadership of the IT team.


Responsibilities may include:

  • Lead, mentor and develop the IT team by defining job expectations, planning, monitoring and supporting individuals to achieve results and perform to the best of their ability.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the companys IT infrastructure and overseeing the various company platforms
  • Developing and implementing IT strategies and plans that are aligned with business objectives
  • Ensuring the team is well equipped to provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software and network-related issues
  • Overseeing IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery
  • Handling IT budgeting, including forecasting and managing resources effectively to meet project and operational needs
  • Implementing and maintaining robust security measures, including firewall management and adherence to Cyber Essentials standards; ensuring data security and compliance is in line with relevant regulations
  • Leading the planning and execution of new IT system deployments and upgrades Effective management of vendor relationships
  • Keeping abreast of latest industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement


Our perfect IT Manager would have:

  • A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience of managing others within an IT based role
  • Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems and security
  • Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills
  • The ability to analyse complex problems and implement effective solutions
  • Well organised and efficient; proactive in approach with a focus on driving improvement
  • Resilient with the drive to implement best practice approaches
  • The ability to operate and thrive within a fast paced environment whilst working well under pressure; prioritises effectively to meet deadlines


The hours you would work:

Monday to Friday, 8.00am-5.00pm (40 hours per week).
