Our established manufacturing Client is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer. The role is based in Medway, Kent - commute requires own transport.
The role is offered as a permanent full time role working days.
Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm, Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm (37.5 hours per week).

The Quality Engineer role will:
- Responsible for conducting product audits and undertaking quality investigations.
- Providing support to the Quality Manager with the completion of daily general quality tasks.
- Analyse and interpret complex quality documents.
- Support the Commercial department in the execution of customer enquiries and complaints.
- Ability to apply principles of logical and scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- During the performance of this role the role holder will be required to complete some tasks in an office-based environment. Other tasks will take place in a shop-floor environment.
Quality Engineer skills and experience required:
- At least 2 years of working in a similar environment. Experience in mechanical inspection.
- Routine calibration of gauging, measuring and test equipment. Conversant with Statistical Process Control.
- Ability to process and, where required, investigate customer complaints and returns.
- Experience of investigating internal and external quality problems.
- Excellent written skills. Good organisational skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as well as part of a busy team.
- Ability to plan, to work and to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and deadlines are achieved.
- Conversant ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Statistical Process Control.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings and Bills of Material.
Quality Engineer qualifications:
- Educated to at least C&G or BTEC Level 3 standard in engineering and able to demonstrate related experience in an engineering / manufacturing environment.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications (desirable)
