We are seeking an Operations Manager to be based in the Medway area, but must have a full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed), as you will be visiting sites across Kent frequently.

Key to the role is an excellent working knowledge of The Care Act, as well as in-depth experience and knowledge around CQC regulations. You must also have a deep understanding of the complex care market within the challenging adult social care landscape.

The role involves the delivery of strategic and operational plans and the provision of operational leadership for the services offered by my client. You will play a crucial role in managing the delivery of top-quality care, as well as compliance with internal policy and procedure, regulatory requirements and overall operational excellent. .

Duties will include, but not be limited to: maintain and improve quality and care; maintain oversight of services; sustain revenue growth in line with budgets; lead operational mobilisation of services; communicate, liaise and comply with CQC requests when required; deputise for Head of Operations; identify risks and present workable solutions; assist in the execution of strategic plans at service level.

Salary is £50,000 to £60,000 per annum, dependent upon experience, with benefits to include:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • In-depth knowledge of The Care Act, MCA, Health and Social Care Act
  • At least five years management experience within adult care services and a track record in operational management
  • Experience of being an Area Manager, or responsible for a group of Managers
  • Proven ability of working strategically and seeing the bigger picture, implementing change in response to emerging issues
  • Managing contracts and dealing with Local Authority colleagues at a senior level
  • Experience of multi-site management
  • Track record of managing successful services, with a minimum of Good CQC ratings
  • Strong understanding and application of regulatory frameworks and compliance/legal requirements
  • Project management of new services and/or developments
  • Inspirational in regards to coaching and mentoring
