We have an exciting opportunity for a Refurbishment Operative for one of our clients in the Managed Print Services sector.
As their business grows, they are looking for a skilled individual to join their team at their refurbishment centre. If you have a strong technical background and want to play a key role in extending the lifespan of technology while making a real impact on the environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities for the Refurbishment Operative:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs).
- Perform repairs on both mechanical and electronic components.
- Replace defective parts with new or refurbished components.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure proper functionality post-repair.
- Clean and refurbish MFDs to a high standard.
- Rebuild and reassemble MFD units, ensuring all components are in optimal working condition.
- Perform final quality checks on all refurbished MFDs.
- Ensure that refurbished units meet both company standards and customer expectations.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and tools effectively.
- Order parts as required to maintain stock levels.
- Document all work completed on MFDs, including repairs, refurbishments, and parts used.
Key skills for the Refurbishment Operative:
- Proven experience in the repair and refurbishment of MFDs (printers, copiers, scanners, etc.) or similar technology.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to fix mechanical and electronic components.
- An eye for detail, especially when it comes to quality control and refurbishing units.
- Proactive and self-motivated with excellent time-management skills.
