Role Overview:
Rochester, Kent is home to the UK based elements of BAE Systems’ Electronic Technology platforms and is situated just to the north of Rochester Airport
The role will involve providing technical support during the development and delivery of all aspects of digital &/or analogue designs from requirements development, concept and detailed design, through to product certification
Working in a team environment with the development of Test Equipment solutions that support the complex and demanding requirements of the diverse variety of Products developed at the Rochester site
Duties:
- General assembly work
- Working with aircraft interface systems (electrical, optics, mechanical)
- Fault finding at general assembly level
- Fault isolation
- Hardware/software integration
- Repair existing hardware/software
Experience/Qualifications:
- J-STD and/or IPC 610 / 620 is ESSENTIAL (in-date certification would be ideal, failing in-date certification candidates will be willing to achieve current certification)
- Awareness and basic understanding of the following:
- digital &/or analogue electronics technologies
- Â design tools and techniques
- electronic circuits design
- cable design and manufacture
- commissioning and integration
- Practical electronics skills, e.g. PCB/Circuit card assembly, soldering, wiring, etc
- Problem Solving Skills
- Team Working
