Premier Recruitment Group is working with a leading production company seeking detail-oriented individuals to join their team as Quality Controller. In this role, you'll ensure the quality of fresh fruit products through inspections and testing, supporting production and delivering to customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect raw materials, production lines, and finished goods to ensure quality standards.
  • Perform testing (e.g., pressure and brix) using specialised equipment and record results.
  • Use company systems to create stock reports and manage orders.
  • Verify product labels for accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Monitor and test shelf-life samples.
  • Complete documentation and maintain high hygiene standards.
  • Provide training, feedback, and support to Production Operatives to improve performance.

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a fresh produce or quality control environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
  • The ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
  • Basic knowledge of stock control systems and manual handling (up to 18kg).

Working Hours & Pay:

  • Hours: 5-day week with flexibility for occasional 6-day weeks and long hours.
  • Pay Rates:
    • £12.69/hour for the first 40 hours
    • £15.86/hour for overtime, with increases after training.
