Our established manufacturing Client is seeking a Quality Inspector. The role is based in Medway, Kent - commute requires own transport.

The role is offered as a permanent full time role working days.

Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4pm, Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm (37.5 hours per week).

The Quality Inspectorrole will:

  • Provide support to the Quality Manager with the completion of daily general quality tasks.
  • Analyse and interpret quality documents.
  • Support the Commercial department in the execution of customer enquiries and complaints.
  • During the performance of this role the role holder will be required to complete tasks in a shop-floor environment.
  • Some tasks in an office-based environment.

Quality Inspector skills and experience required:

  • Experience in mechanical inspection.
  • Routine calibration of gauging, measuring and test equipment.
  • Ability to process and, where required, investigate customer complaints and returns.
  • Experience of investigating internal and external quality problems.
  • Excellent written skills. Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as well as part of a busy team.
  • Ability to plan, to work and to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and deadlines are achieved.
  • Conversant ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Statistical Process Control.
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings and Bills of Materials
  • Able to demonstrate related experience in an engineering / manufacturing environment.
