The Role:

As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Project and Commercial Departments by managing procurement processes, ensuring cost efficiency, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. You will be responsible for overseeing procurement tasks, managing budgets, negotiating supplier agreements, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organising procurement systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Managing budgets and liaising with internal departments and external suppliers.
  • Sending enquiries, obtaining quotes, and placing orders for materials and sub-contractors.
  • Negotiating discounts and credit terms with suppliers.
  • Overseeing stock control and ensuring budget compliance.
  • Developing and maintaining supplier performance records.
  • Producing cost and time reports as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Previous industry experience is desirable but not essential.
