Temporary Buyer/Assistant Buyer
£14 - £22 Per hour DOE
Mid Kent
Monday – Friday – 9.00 – 5.30pm
Office based
Fantastic opportunity to join an established and successful FMCG business as a Buyer on a temporary basis. The purpose of this role is to support the strategic management of packaging as well as other goods and services through effective planning, supplier management and negotiation.
Duties include:
- Develop supplier relationships and ongoing negotiations
- Raising, placing and tracking purchase orders
- Extensive monitoring of stock levels, order progressions and usage to ensure material is available when required.
- Purchasing packaging/ingredients
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels
- Other projects and such tasks as and when required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in the FMCG industry
- CIPS qualification (desirable not essential)
- Strong Excel skills
- An excellent communicator with first rate interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
