Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality German language lessons to students across various key stages.
- Engage students with creative lesson plans that incorporate different learning styles and foster a positive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic development.
- Collaborate with the language department to enhance the curriculum and participate in school events related to the subject.
- Maintain up-to-date records of students’ progress and attendance.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in German.
- Experience teaching German at secondary school level, preferably in a grammar school setting.
- Strong understanding of the curriculum and assessment requirements for German.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Commitment to professional development and maintaining high teaching standards.
- Enhanced DBS check.
