We are seeking a skilledFire Alarm Installation Engineerto join our team. This role involves the installation of fire alarm systems across various job sites. The primary responsibility is the installation of fire alarm systems, ensuring all components are correctly fitted and functioning as per the specifications.
Duties
- Install fire alarm systems, including control panels, detectors, and alarm devices.
- Ensure all installations comply with current fire safety regulations and standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and plans for installation.
- Complete installations efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Perform initial testing and checks to ensure the system works properly after installation.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members on-site when required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in installing fire alarm systems (essential)
- Good understanding of fire alarm regulations and standards (e.g., BS 5839)
- In-depth knowledge of fire alarm system components and installation procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations on job sites.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and wiring schematics.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Valid Full UK drivers license and ability to travel to various job sites.
Desirable
- FIA Certification or equivalent qualification in fire alarm installation (preferred).
- Experience with different types of fire alarm systems (e.g., conventional, addressable, wireless).
