Our established M&E services installer is seeking a Materials Buyer. The role will suit candidates with experience of purchasing within manufacturing/engineering.
The ideal Materials Buyer will have M&E industry experience/knowledge - Mechanical and Electrical e.g. installation, service, sales, trade counter, plumbing, heating etc
Salary: 40,000 pa AAE
Location: Rochester
Hours: 7.30am to 4.30pm or 8am to 5pm
1 hour lunch break

Materials Buyer skills/experience:
- Good solid education - English, Math & IT.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ideally previous experience in a procurement.
- Understanding of market research, data analysis, and purchasing principles.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate.
- Ability to work autonomously, using own initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task and time-management skills.
- The ability to build effective collaborative working relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Material Buyer main responsibilities
- Develop long term supply relationships with key vendors employing Supply Chain Management techniques to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of all materials.
- Processing purchase order acknowledgements and advise relevant personnel when problems arise.
- Run various reports to define weekly exceptions i.e. late order and open order reports.
- Implement Vendor Master Data-cleanse.
