We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with SEN (Special Educational Needs) students and making a positive impact on their educational journey.

Day to day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to SEN students, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and are able to achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with the lead teacher to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to suit each student’s needs.
  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and the setup of the classroom to create an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Encourage students to engage in learning activities and promote independence.
  • Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Attend to the students’ personal needs and provide assistance where necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably with SEN students.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by SEN students and strategies to support their learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different learning needs and classroom environments.
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
