We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teacher to join our special needs school in the Maidstone area. This is a permanent position ideal for a compassionate individual with a commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans that meet the individual needs of children with a range of special educational needs.
  • Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment that encourages children’s social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and tools to engage children and facilitate inclusive learning.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and families to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Regularly assess and record children’s progress, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings and professional development sessions to enhance teaching practice and support school initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with early years children, preferably within a special needs setting.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and special educational needs strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Patience, creativity, and a positive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
