As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of professionals to empower students and help them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver individualised lessons to students with special educational needs, ensuring they are accessible, engaging, and aligned with their personalised education plans (IEPs).
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters confidence.
  • Use innovative strategies and resources to meet the varying learning styles and needs of students.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure students’ holistic development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and implement effective classroom management strategies.
  • Support students’ emotional and social development alongside their academic growth.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification is preferred, though experienced overseas-trained teachers are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proven experience working as an SEN Teacher or in a similar role within an SEN setting.
  • Strong knowledge of strategies for supporting students with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, staff, and families.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing educational experience.
