Groundworker

Manpower UK are supporting our client who are within Environmental Services for a Team Operative to work within the Rochford Depot.

We are looking for a candidate to have experience within civils, construction as a groundworker/labourer who are used to manual work and can work as part of a team.

Candidates are required to hold a driving licence as you will report to the yard each morning to collect van then will head out on jobs so needs to be within a commutable distance to the yard. Work in 2 man teams consisting of Team leader and operative.


Salary - 12 - 15ph DOE (Annual - 29,640 - 37,050)
Over time paid at time and half.

47.5 hours per week
Core working days - Monday - Friday
Usually 6.30-7am start - working times may vary depending on the job and what the best time to access sites might be certain times. Anything over 47.5hours is overtime and paid at time & half. Overtime available on evenings and weekends.

On call rota - Once a month for 1 week, mon- sun and evenings, 100 extra in weekly pay whether called out or not.

Role is based outside, a lot of physical work

• Hand digging
• Excavation work
• Heavy lifting

Looking for people with experience in the following -

• Manual labour jobs, groundworks, drainage, construction etc.
• Manhole construction
• Concreting
• Block laying
• Kerb laying
• All aspects of installing deep drainage.
• Working in confined spaces and shafts
• Ideally will already have CSCS card but can be put through for this if not.

Training is given if don't have experience in all of the above.
