Our client is a well established ad thriving construction company based in the Rochford area. They are currently searching for an experienced administrator who has construction, civil engineering or maintenance experience. The ideal candidate would be someone who wishes to join a thriving organisation with a turnover coming close to 20 million per annum. The role offers a strong career progression for ambitious individuals. The role will be predominantly office based with occasional site / client visits.

ROLE:

  • Managing incoming calls and directing them to the necessary departments / individual.
  • Providing a courteous and efficient point of contact for enquiries, redirecting or escalating as necessary.
  • To ensure that all those visiting the companies offices, sign into the visitors book and are made aware of any risks to their H&S and understand how to follow site-based rules and requirements.
  • Efficiently process a variety of administrative requests, from data entry to file management, supporting departmental needs.
  • Organise and maintain office spaces and systems, including document management and archiving, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
  • Control access to restricted areas to maintain security and compliance.
  • Prepare and distribute minutes of meetings and other relevant communications.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and room bookings.
  • Assist in the preparation and editing of reports, presentations, and other documents.
  • Handle mail and email correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate distribution and response.
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary.

CANDIDATE:

  • Previous experience within a construction, civil engineering, maintenance or engineering background is highly desired.
  • Strong background within company administration essential.
  • Steady work history is desired.
  • Computer literacy with experience of Word and Excel is essential.
  • Experience of data entry and document control is desired.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety is desired.
  • Must have own transport as the office is difficult to access on public transport.
  • Willing to work in the office from Monday to Friday.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Very effective planning and organisational skills.
