**Job Description:**
They are seeking a skilled Machinist to join their team. The successful candidate will operate various machinery, work on precise engineering tasks, and contribute to the overall production of high-quality products.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **CNC Operation:**
- Operate a mill-turn CNC machine to produce precision parts.
- **Manual Turning:**
- Use manual Colchester lathes to manufacture low-volume stainless steel components according to detailed engineering drawings.
- **Manual Milling:**
- Utilize manual Bridgeport mills, adhering to toleranced engineering specifications for producing stainless steel parts.
- **Material Preparation:**
- Prepare materials by sawing billets for machining.
- Ensure effective cleaning of the swarf and maintain coolant levels in machinery.
- **Bench Fitting:**
- Conduct marking out, drilling, sawing, and filing tasks.
- Assemble sub-components, such as gearboxes, as required.
- **Housekeeping:**
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and organized work environment.
**Additional Information:**
- **Pay:** Up to 17.50 per hour
- **Contract Type:** Permanent, Full-Time
- **Hours of Work:** Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 (including two 15-minute tea breaks and a 30-minute lunch break)
- **Overtime:** Available on a discretionary basis
- **Location:** Rochford, Essex, United Kingdom
- **Working Conditions:** Good indoor working environment
