We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee operations in our clients yard and warehouse. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and has a strong leadership background in warehouse management, including holding a counterbalance licence.
Day-to-day of the role:- Supervise daily activities in the warehouse and yard, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to safety standards.
- Coordinate and oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
- Implement and monitor security procedures to safeguard inventory and assets.
- Ensure the warehouse and yard are maintained to high standards, organising cleaning and maintenance as needed.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies in inventory or shipping promptly.
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all safety protocols are followed by the team.
- Optimise space utilization and workflow to enhance efficiency
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar managerial role.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.
- The role will be both office and warehouse based
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety
- Ability to handle and resolve conflicts and discrepancies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence.
- You will be required to have a Full UK Driving licence with transport
