We are recruiting a Business Support Officer on behalf of our client. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support, with a key focus on minute taking during critical meetings, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times. You will play a pivotal role in helping the team deliver high-quality services to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Children’s Services team.
  • Accurately take minutes at key meetings such as safeguarding and strategy discussions.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, action logs, and follow-up documentation.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared in advance.
  • Manage data, update records, and maintain compliance with GDPR and relevant policies.
  • Assist in general office duties, including diary management, handling enquiries, and processing correspondence.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in minute taking within a professional setting (preferably in a Children’s Services or similar environment).
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of GDPR and safeguarding procedures (desirable).
