The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safeguarding within the education sector and possess the necessary qualifications and experience to manage complex cases effectively.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee and manage all safeguarding issues within the educational environment.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to any safeguarding concerns or incidents.
  • Maintain detailed records of all cases and actions taken.
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.
  • Provide training and guidance on safeguarding procedures to staff and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest safeguarding policies and regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Designated Safeguarding Lead Qualification.
  • Proven experience working in an educational environment.
  • Strong background in a safeguarding role with hands-on experience responding to safeguarding issues.
  • Skilled in complex case management.
  • Desirable: Experience working in a Further Education (FE) College setting.
