Applications Engineer

For over 60 years, Reed’s engineering and manufacturing specialists have been recruiting professionals like you for permanent, temporary and contract positions.We are currently working with an organisation in Romford who are looking to hire an Applications Engineer.

This is a newly created position following a period of growth, working for an industry leading manufacturing company which offer precision engineering solutions.

The successful appointee will be collaborating with cross functional teams, to enhance multi axis CNC grinding machine performance, troubleshoot issues and provide technical expertise. Frequent international travel will be required for this role.

Responsibilities include:

- Working with customers to understand individual requirements, tailoring machines accordingly

- Developing and refining grinding processes

- Providing technical support (operation, programming, maintenance) and training to international customers and internal teams.

- Working with design engineers to improve machine design

- Creating and maintaining technical documentation (manuals / guides etc)

Skills & Experience Required:

- Experience in CNC programming

- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis

- Excellent communication and problem solving skills

- Practical experience in an engineering / manufacturing environment (it would be desirable if this was time served as an Applications Engineer or similar). 

- Evidence of industry related qualification/s.
