Empowering Learning are recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistant's for positions based in the Barking and Dagenham area. The positions are to work within Mainstream or SEND schools alongside pupils with Special Educational Needs such as Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Social Emotional Mental Health.

Job Responsibilities

  • Academic and social support towards pupils with various Learning Difficulties
  • Ability to engage and support pupils
  • Being able to adapt and be creative in your approach
  • Managing challenging behaviour

Job Requirements

  • Experience of supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities desirable
  • Able to stay calm and de-escalate challenging Behaviour
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 1-6 months
