About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading Data Centre team in Romford, offering a salary of 50,000 and an excellent progression plan. This role will involve working within a high-tech, critical environment, ensuring the continuous operation of all electrical systems and plant equipment.
You will be part of a 2-engineer shift team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on all critical plant equipment, ensuring uptime and reliability across the facility
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and critical plant equipment.
- Work as part of a shift team to ensure the continuous operation of the facility.
- Support in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues across the data centre.
- Provide technical support for the installation, modification, and commissioning of plant equipment.
- Take ownership of your designated shift, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers to ensure a seamless and safe working environment.

Essential Requirements:
- Experience as an Electrical Engineer, ideally within a critical plant or Data Centre environment.
- Must be qualified to industry standards in Electrical engineering
- Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Comfortable working in a shift pattern (continental days and nights).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a shift team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Electrical qualifications (e.g., 17th/18th Edition, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
