Job Purpose:
To provide strategic financial management and business partner support, ensuring alignment with business goals, driving improvements in financial processes, and maintaining robust financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Management:
    • Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting, and compliance.
    • Collaborate with senior management to identify cost-saving initiatives.
    • Streamline the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Understand and support the production of detailed management accounts.
    • Analyse financial data for insights and recommendations.
    • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure success.
    • Assist in preparing variance analyses and financial results commentary.
    • Lead the preparation of technical papers in consultation with advisors.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Support and develop finance team members.
    • Delegate responsibilities for team efficiency and career development.
    • Identify training needs and support professional development.
  • Systems and Process Improvements:
    • Lead the implementation and optimization of financial systems and processes.
    • Drive the adoption of advanced technologies for accuracy and efficiency.
    • Monitor and improve internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Project Involvement:
    • Act as a financial lead on business projects.
    • Enhance collaboration between finance and other departments.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
    • Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners.
Key Qualifications:
  • Qualified/ finalist accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Proven track record in strategic financial management.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience with financial systems and process improvements.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
